Deloitte partners recognized as Canada's Most Powerful Women
Congratulations to both Jane Allen and Shelley Brown, who were recently recognized by the Women's Executive Network (WXN) as two of Canada’s Most Powerful Women. The Top 100 is Canada’s most recognized award for the country's highest achieving female leaders in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. WXN is Canada’s leading organization dedicated to the advancement and recognition of women in management, executive, professional and board roles.
Jane Allen - a diversity champion. Jane received the RBC Champion Award, which recognizes women who are making a distinct and describable difference to the advancement of women in the Canadian workplace. A diversity champion within the firm and broader business community for many years, Jane's role includes formal and informal coaching and mentoring of women.
Shelley Brown - working for women and Aboriginal people. Shelley received WXN’s Professionals Award, which recognizes women who play a leadership role within their organizations. She has been a member of Deloitte’s Board of Directors and chaired the Board’s Governance Committee, which is responsible for governance, as well as holding the firm’s leadership accountable for diversity.

The Workplace of the Future
Deloitte's Workplace of the Future program focuses on creating a new work environment in Deloitte offices across the country that offers flexibility on where and how work gets done, allowing for enhanced cross-functional collaborative opportunities, and providing cutting-edge technology.
While many offices across Canada have already opened their doors to a vibrant new environment, the new offices in Toronto and Montreal are expected to open in 2015.
Some of the highlights that will be featured in the new Toronto office include:
- 43-storey office tower with 980,000 square feet
- Deloitte will occupy 419,000 square feet
- LEED Platinum with state-of-the-art operating and life safety systems.
- Bike storage and shower/change facilities (~225 bike racks and 23 showers)
- Enwave deep lake water cooling
- Additional base building metering for enhanced monitoring and control
- Lighting controlled via occupancy sensors
